Jerry Bavaro and Marc Arms. This was a Christmas party for the Caribou County Sheriff's Office in about 2005. There is a funny story behind this photo! Jerry is a retired Lieutenant of the Soda Springs Police Department and Marc is a Fish and Game Detective for the State of Idaho. Jerry and I have been friends since 1978 the year he started working for the Soda Springs Police Department and the year I began for the Caribou County Sheriff's Office. Jerry is divorced and so am I, and over the years he and I have gone to the show in Pocatello many times and then had a nice dinner. He is fun to be with, has a wonderful sense of humor and he actually puts up with me and my warped sense of humor. Anyway over the years the people on his department and on mine teased him and I about going on dates. Well Jerry and I couldn't be more straight, and for that reason it is a funny joke, so to explain this photo, as I entered the room that night, I saw Jerry and Marc sitting next to one another and I said loudly as I always do, well you are a damed two timer Jerry! So Marc real quick put his arm around Jerry and Jerry flipped the bird, his trademark and I shot the photo, we laughed our ass off and so did everyone in the room paying attention knowing how they had all teased Jerry and I over the years. So the photo was funny for the reason behind it. Jerry is still a very dear friend and Marc now lives in Pocatello.
